As I reflect upon the past year, I note what an eventful and significant growth journey ISEC has had during the last year. 2023 turned out to be a record-breaking year in terms of revenue with a significant increase in order intake.

Increased sales and positive feedback
Throughout 2023, we strengthened our sales activity across the globe and increased our presence in the North American market. New partners in Canada and the US were added to our sales organization and made good progress right from the very start of our collaborations. Moreover, I paid visits to our sales representatives, customers and partners in North America, Europa and Asia. I am very proud and impressed by the work carried out by the ISEC team and the positive feedback we have received.

Some of the more significant orders secured and projects delivered in 2023 include the delivery of our Radcam® cameras and CCTV systems to Hinkley Point C in the UK, the first new nuclear power plant to be built in the UK for more than two decades. We also delivered CCTV systems and cameras used to monitor equipment and processes for both active operations and backend services at various customer sites in the UK. Similar progress was made in both the US, Canada and many European countries, showing the increased activity in the nuclear sector in these markets.

In early May, we also successfully carried out a revision of our three ISO certifications – ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. In combination with our renewed Cyber Security certificate approval in July, we continue to live up to the market standards and demands.

In November, we participated in the world’s leading World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) in Paris with good interest and discussions around our expanding product portfolio.

Favourable markets conditions moving forward
In times of the energy crisis, and a growing demand for stable and low-carbon energy sources, we have seen an increasing interest in and positive attitudes toward nuclear power across the globe, not least here in Sweden. Thus, with the prospects of more investments in fossil-free nuclear power solutions, I believe ISEC operates in favorable market conditions. Our reliable Radcam® camera systems continue to secure efficient operations in nuclear environments. Being able to monitor equipment and processes in radiation areas, we support our customers to prevent unplanned downtime of their energy production and to maintain employee health safety.

Focus on growth acceleration
On a personal note, 2023 was the year I assumed the role of CEO. I have dedicated time to meet and speak with as many colleagues, partners, and customers as possible. I am very proud of the ISEC team’s achievements in 2023, in terms of delivered projects and the new orders secured. I am also pleased with our customers’ confidence in our products, as demonstrated by the surge in order intake. Together with the team, I look forward to further strengthen ISEC’s market presence and continue to grow the company throughout 2024 and beyond.

Fredrik Sjöholm, CEO of ISEC Monitoring Systems
