In the history of ISEC Monitoring Systems, there has been some solid and steady individuals – and one of them is Jan Gunnarsson. With an extensive knowledge and experience within this industry, and over twenty years at ISEC, we asked Jan a few questions for you to get to know him better.

How long have you worked for ISEC and why have you continued to work for the company?

I have worked at ISEC since the start – I was here when the company was founded over twenty years ago and have sticked around since then. I choose ISEC because I was interested in electronics design and programming. The role of Senior Developer Mechatronics is still very interesting and stimulating to me.

What is your expertise in your work?

I have worked with the development of electronics and software for CCTV products for 34 years. For the past 12 years, the focus has been on the development of cameras for the nuclear power industry that can withstand gamma and neutron radiation.

What is the best part about your job and what projects are you working on right now?

I have very varied and challenging tasks. You get to develop in many different disciplines such as electronics, software and mechanics. I am currently working on a new radiation-resistant dome camera that will soon be launched, as well as our next generation camera platform.

What do you do outside of work?

In my spare time, I like spending time with my family and play board games like Wingspan and Settlers of Catan.
