Get to know Marcus Jocham – Head of Business Development and Sales at ISEC Visatec

Marcus has been part of ISEC Visatec (former Visatec) for nearly 30 years. Drawing from his diverse experience across multiple company roles, he currently helps develop and present our comprehensive offering of the two company brands – ISEC and ISEC Visatec. We asked Marcus a few questions for you to get to know him and his role better.

What is the best part about your job?

“I am a caring person, I seriously am. I like solving problems and help people and companies – and that is why I like this job. As we are manufacturing custom-made technology, we can deliver solutions to problems that have not been solved before. Our robotics offer, e.g. our tracked magnetic crawler, is one example. This helps making procedures more efficient and more secure for our clients.”

What is the most exciting aspect of the ISEC and ISEC Visatec merger?

“We close each other’s gap. No other company offers the same holistic approach and portfolio within visual technology for the nuclear world. That combined with extremely clever and engaged employees, and our industry network, is a real game changer. Also, having an owner who understands the importance of technology and R&D is even more than we could have wished for.”

What projects are you working on right now?

“I work on a few very interesting projects to expand our portfolio to benefit our customers even more in the future. This includes expanding the camera portfolio for high radiation exposed environments as well as a digital based modular control unit that will extend the capabilities of our camera systems, including the use of AI features.  Very excited to soon be able to bring these to market!”

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

“Like many other parents, my main hobby are my kids and also my dog! I also do a lot of sports, like skiing, snowboarding and gym fitness.”
